Philosophy of care | Most patients with back or neck pain do not need surgery. I believe my job is to discuss all the options with you so together we can make an informed decision about your care. I think patients do better when they play an active role in their treatment. | Why I entered medicine | I knew early on that I wanted to be a surgeon because of its hands-on aspect. My mother was an operating room nurse, so I had the opportunity to observe surgery while in high school.
