Overview
Dr. Cooper's expertise includes general, laparoscopic, robotic and endocrine surgery. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Surgery, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Cooper earned his medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson, Arizona and has a Bachelor's degree in Spanish. After completing his surgical internship at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona, Dr. Cooper finished his general surgical training in the Phoenix Integrated Surgical Residency program at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. In his free time, Dr. Cooper enjoys triathlon, travel, and golf. He is a three-time IRONMAN Triathlon finisher and currently serves as the Medical Director for the IRONMAN Arizona full distance triathlon held each November in Tempe, Arizona.Dr. Cooper's care philosophy is to strive to help improve patients' quality of life using his surgical skills and compassion. Patients who come to my office can expect to receive my full attention to understand their lifestyle, treat their situation and help get them back to their regular activities.

Originally from Youngstown, Ohio, Dr. Damore attended college at Emory University in Atlanta, GA where he graduated summa cum laude in Biology. He continued on to medical school at the University of Cincinnati. Next, he completed five years of General Surgery residency at Saint Louis University Health Sciences Center. Having a great interest in minimally invasive surgery, Dr. Damore spent a year at the Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery at Ohio State University. He then moved to the Phoenix area to begin practice with Advanced Surgical Associates in 1999.Dr. Damore is Board Certified and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of the American College of Surgeons and Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons. Special professional interests include minimally invasive surgery, single incision laparoscopic surgery, and medical education.
