Dr. Lauren Buck

Dr. August Lyons began his surgical career in the Arlington area in 2004. In addition to being a board-certified general surgeon, Dr. Lyons serves as an associate professor of Medicine for Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. His clinical interests include surgical care for gastrointestinal cancers, bariatric and metabolic procedures, and plastic/reconstructive surgery following trauma. Dr. Lyons earned his medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He completed his general surgery residency at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson, where he was chief resident during his final year. Before he found his true passion in the medical field, Dr. Lyons’ early career ventures included serving as a science and editorial consultant for Nickelodeon TV in New York City and as a legislative aid on the Ways and Means Committee in Washington, D.C. Benjamin E. Schneider, M.D., is a Professor in the Department of Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center and serves as chief of the Division of Bariatric and Foregut Surgery. A national and international guest lecturer and presenter, he is also the author of numerous peer-reviewed articles, chapters, and editorials.He is a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Surgeons, the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract, and the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders.In 2020, Dr. Schneider achieved top 1% in the nation in patient satisfaction at Texas Health Dallas, as measured by the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) and Press Ganey.
