Dr. Barth earned a combined doctor of medicine and doctor of philosophy from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich, Germany. He joined the Johns Hopkins faculty in 2016. He has been recognized with the First Prize for the Stanley L. Blumenthal Cardiology Research Award in Clinical Science in the Division of Cardiology at Johns Hopkins Hospital, and as a Young Investigator Award Finalist of the American Heart Association and Heart Rhythm Society.
