He strives to optimize communication and is always learning to ensure the best care possible.Dr. Standaert served for 32 years in the United States Air Force, where he attained the rank of Colonel. Prior to joining the Wound Care Center, he served as Chief of Surgery at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada and as an Assistant Clinical Professor with Uniformed Services University.Outside of work, he enjoys hiking and is involved with the American Legion.
