
Overview
Daniel Zeitler, MD, is a board-certified otolaryngologist who specializes in otology and neurotology, including cochlear implants, acoustic neuroma (vestibular schwannoma) and skull base surgery, middle ear reconstructive surgery, chronic ear disease, disorders of the facial nerve, and medical and surgical management of ear problems.Dr. Zeitler recognizes the importance of establishing a level of trust and respect with each patient. He asks questions to understand their concerns and needs, and explains how he can assist them. As a subspecialist, he finds it immensely rewarding to be able to help patients who have exhausted common treatment options. While cochlear implants are normally reserved for patients who are deaf in both ears, Dr. Zeitler is excited to offer cochlear implantation to patients who are deaf in just one ear, and he enjoys seeing the positive results for these patients.Dr. Zeitler is a member of the American Neurotology Society, Triological Society, American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, and serves on the Board of the American Cochlear Implant Alliance. He is a medical advisor to the Acoustic Neuroma Association. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.Away from work, Dr. Zeitler enjoys water skiing, snow skiing, soccer, cycling, traveling and reading.
