Overview
Dr. Geetha Rao is the medical director of Radiation Oncology at Piedmont Fayette Hospital. She received her undergraduate degree from The Johns Hopkins University. She then completed Duke University Medical School in 1995, and her residency in Radiation Oncology from the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI in 2000. There, she served as chief resident and as an attending physician after training.
She joined private practice locally in 2004 and has worked exclusively at the Piedmont Fayette Radiation center since its opening in 2010. She has served on numerous committees including the medical executive committee, the Women's Leadership council, and the Breast Cancer steering committee. She has also given several cooking demonstrations in the Cancer Wellness center for patients and their families. In 2017, she was appointed to the Board of Directors of Piedmont Fayette Hospital.
Her practice consists of treatment of all types of cancer, but her specific interests include breast, prostate, and cancers of the head and neck.
She lives in Peachtree City with her husband, Dr. Thippeswamy Murthy (cardiology) and her two children, ages 12 and 16.
She is an avid hiker and loves to cook and read in her spare time.

Diana A. Santiago, MD is a board-certified radiation oncologist, currently practicing and serving as Medical Director of the Piedmont Newnan Hospital Radiation Oncology Clinic. She treats all tumor types, but has a special interest in breast, prostate, lung and head and neck malignancies. Dr. Santiago earned her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. She completed her residency in 1996 at the Medical University of South Carolina. She received her board certification in Radiation Oncology in 1997. Dr. Santiago has been practicing medicine and Radiation Oncology for almost 20 years with her medical group, Therapeutic Radiation Oncology, P.C. Dr. Santiago is very active in administration and strategic planning of cancer services throughout the Piedmont System. She currently serves on the Piedmont Centers of Excellence for breast cancer. She is part of the Piedmont creation team that reviews standardization and quality of cancer care system-wide. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, painting, traveling and playing tennis.
