
Overview
Dr. Prakash Gatta’s passion for advancing automation in surgery through robotics and digitally enhanced surgical care led him to a career in 2007 as a board-certified general surgeon with fellowship training in foregut/esophageal, gastrointestinal and minimally invasive surgery. Since that time, he has held numerous clinical faculty positions, including within the University of Cincinnati and the University of Washington, and served on several committees in exploration of new frontiers in minimally invasive GI surgery.For the American Foregut Society, Dr. Gatta acted as chair of the Robotics & Co-Chair of the Advocacy Committees. He has also served on the Digital Surgery, Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Committees for the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons as well as the co-inventor of a single port laparoscopic access tool used to promote less invasive GI surgeries.Dr. Gatta earned his medical degree in Mumbai, India, before setting down roots in the United States. He completed his general surgery residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria, where he served as chief resident of his class. He completed his esophageal, gastrointestinal and minimally invasive surgery fellowship at The Oregon Clinic in Portland under the mentorship of Dr. Lee Swanstrom an internationally recognized Esophageal Surgeon.Beyond the technological aspects of surgery, Dr. Gatta's areas of clinical focus include Oncology of the upper foregut (Esophageal & Gastric Cancer), the treatment of GERD, hiatal/paraesophageal hernia and Esophageal motility disorders such as Achalasia.When not with his patients, he provides charity care locally and internationally in India. In his free time he enjoys traveling with his family, cycling, painting and cheering on his Seattle Seahawks. Dr. Gatta is fluent in English, Hindi, Telugu, and Arabic.

Dr. Timothy Oskin joins Texas Health Physicians Group as a board-certified vascular surgeon with 24 years of experience. He acted as division chief of vascular surgery at a busy regional health system, St. Luke's University Health Network, in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. In this role he acted as leader of the vascular program that grew from 3 hospitals to 12 facilities and started an independent medical school while overseeing 9 vascular surgeons as they developed a vascular fellowship. This has allowed Dr. Oskin to treat a broad range of vascular patients with a combination of medical, endovascular and/or surgical therapies to optimize their outcomes and quality of life.Dr. Oskin offers a vast experience in treatment of all vascular disorders with minimally invasive techniques. To maintain this high level of care he has acted as a principal investigator in numerous clinical trials in the treatment of cerebrovascular disease with minimally invasive stenting technologies, aortic aneurysmal disease with minimally invasive stent grafts and peripheral vascular disease with endovascular technologies. In addition, he served as adjunct clinical assistant professor of Surgery at Temple, Drexel and DeSales Universities which allowed him to educate upcoming medical students, surgical residents and physician assistants.Dr. Oskin remains active as a member of the American College of Surgery, the Southern Association of Vascular Surgery and the Society of Vascular Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the Society of Vascular Surgery, southern Association of Vascular Surgery, the Eastern Vascular Society and the Society of Clinical Vascular Surgery. Dr. Deitch performs a broad range of open and minimally invasive procedures to promote improved circulatory health beyond abdominal aortic aneurysms, venous thrombosis, peripheral vascular disease, carotid artery disease, and other vascular conditions. Additionally, he focuses on the care of vascular trauma patients and those with comorbidities related to diabetes.Dr. Deitch earned his medical degree at New York Medical College in Valhalla. He completed his general surgery residency at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in The Bronx, N.Y. He served as chief resident during his final year in residency.
