I work in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit, taking care of the sickest patients in the hospital, whether they are recovering from a big operation or whether one or more of their organs are failing for any given reason. I am also a general surgeon and, as such, I manage patients with a variety of abdominal pathologies. This can include appendicitis, gallbladder problems, and small intestine and/or colon problems, such as bowel obstruction, acute diverticulitis, and colonic volvulus. I also perform hernia surgery, whether ventral or inguinal. I’ve always wanted to be a doctor and enjoy the privilege of taking care of people. Surgery is very personal to me.
