As a child, Dr. David-West immigrated with her family from Nigeria to New York City. She decided to become a doctor and ""fell in love"" with women's health in medical school. She went on to complete a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Mount Sinai Hospital and a fellowship in gynecologic oncology at NYU Medical Center.
