Overview

I am a neurologist who focuses on multiple sclerosis and related inflammatory conditions of the brain. I attended Duke as an undergraduate student and then again as a neurology resident and fellow. After a career in the Navy, I returned to Duke as part of the faculty in 2002. I am proud to be a part of the Department of Neurology because of its commitment to expanding expertise in the area of multiple sclerosis, not just for our own patients, but for people worldwide. I love the challenge of figuring out the best treatment for each individual I care for, and I am passionate about educating patients about the risks and benefits of the different therapies available so they can partner with me in making decisions about their health. I am committed to providing the best care possible to my patients and giving them hope for the future.
