Dr. Smith’s clinical interests include interventional cardiology, complex coronary intervention, transcatheter mitral and tricuspid valve therapies, and catheter-based treatments for adult congenital heart disease. In addition, Dr. Smith has actively sought to battle health disparities through his active involvement in the Association of Black Cardiologists and through grassroots work in underserved communities around Pittsburgh. He has published several peer reviewed manuscripts and has served as governor of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American College of Cardiology.
