"Gizelka Andreja David-West, MD, is board certified in both obstetrics and gynecology and gynecologic oncology. She specializes in the surgical and medical management of cervical, ovarian, uterine, vaginal, and vulvar cancers, as well as complex noncancerous and pre-invasive conditions.
As a child, Dr. David-West immigrated with her family from Nigeria to New York City. She decided to become a doctor and ""fell in love"" with women's health in medical school. She went on to complete a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Mount Sinai Hospital and a fellowship in gynecologic oncology at NYU Medical Center. ""I found myself connecting with cancer patients on such a deep level.
