Overview

I am a minimally-invasive abdominal surgeon specializing in surgical weight loss (bariatric surgery), complex abdominal wall and hernia repair, and anti-reflux and heartburn surgery. Utilizing a combination of traditional, laparoscopic, and robotic techniques, I tailor a treatment plan to fit each patient's individual needs. As a surgeon I believe that each patient should be offered the full breadth of treatment options in order to have the best possible result for them.

I received my medical education at Case Western Reserve University and the Cleveland Clinic, and my surgical training at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. I later underwent advanced bariatric, laparoscopic and robotic surgical training at Stony Brook University Hospital on Long Island.

In addition to my clinical work, I have spoken nationally and published numerous peer-reviewed scientific papers and textbook chapters in the fields of bariatric surgery, robotics, and hernia surgery. I am an active volunteer with the American Red Cross, serving on the Board of Directors for the Long Island Chapter.
