Dr. Erin T. Bird

Dr. Erin Bird is a board-certified urologist with specialized training to address pelvic floor disorders in women at various stages of life. He places a priority on providing comprehensive urological and gynecological care that combines neurourology and urodynamics. This includes testing and treatment for common and complex bladder and urethral dysfunction, such as urinary incontinence, urinary tract disorders, vaginal prolapse, pelvic pain and erectile dysfunction. His additional clinical interests include pelvic reconstruction and treatment of urethral tumors. Dr. Bird has been a clinician and educator since 2002. He also holds an MBA from George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and served for four years as a Major and staff urologist in the United States Air Force, based at Keesler Air Force Base Medical Center in Biloxi, Miss.After earning his medical degree at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, Dr. Bird stayed in the area to complete his general surgery and urology residencies. During his training, he was also involved in neurourology research through the Department of Urology at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Bird has held numerous academic, professional, administrative and governance appointments through the years. He currently serves on the Editorial Board for Neurourology and Urodynamics, plus he is a reviewer for three publications in the field. Dr. Bird is a member of the American Urologic Association, Genitourinary and Reconstructive Surgeons, International Continence Society and Society for Urodynamics and Female Urology.
