Dr. Christopher Lavergne

Christopher H. LaVergne, M.D., F.A.C.C. was born in Houston, Texas. He attended the University of Texas Medical School at Houston following his graduation from Baylor University. He continued with his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Texas-Houston Health Science Center. Dr. LaVergne was honored as Chief Cardiology Fellow during his final academic year, where he finished his clinical fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at the University of Texas-Houston Health Science Center. Dr. LaVergne was voted 'Physician of the Year' of the Memorial-Herman Hospital-The Woodlands in 2003. He has been working in The Woodlands area since 1998. Dr. LaVergne has participated in several clinical investigations and has authored research with publication in the New England Journal of Medicine. He has particular interest in the area of cardiac prevention. He believes strongly in educating his patients about their condition and having the patient play a role in determining the best treatment option. Dr. LaVergne also feels that it is extremely important to individualize each patient's care. Dr. LaVergne is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in the Subspecialty of Cardiovascular Disease, is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, and is certified by the Board of Nuclear Cardiology American Society of Nuclear Cardiology (ASNC). Dr. LaVergne's primary focus is on non-interventional cardiology with special interests in the use of non-invasive techniques, such as nuclear cardiology and echocardiography in the early diagnosis and management of cardiovascular disease.
