He was awarded his medical degree from Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. While in Philadelphia, he completed his internship in medicine at Pennsylvania Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Health System and dermatology residency at the Department of Dermatology & Cutaneous Biology of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He has published dozens of peer-reviewed articles/chapters in medical journals and textbooks and has lectured as an invited speaker at local, national and international conferences regarding his research.
