Dr. Jason Bromer

Kara Nguyen, MD, MPH, FACMG, FACOG, is one of only a few physicians who is triple-board certified in obstetrics & gynecology, reproductive endocrinology & infertility, and medical genetics. She earned her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College and her Master in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University. After an accelerated 3-year residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Christiana Care Hospital in Delaware, Dr. Nguyen completed her subspecialty training in medical genetics at the National Institutes of Health. At the Harvard Medical School teaching hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, she was the first OB/GYN to be accepted into the competitive Clinical Investigator Training Program where her research in stem cells was funded by grants from the New England Fertility Society, National Institutes of Health, and Harvard Stem Cell Institute. She serves as the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Division Director at UPMC Pinnacle for Central Pennsylvania and plays an active role in the OBGYN quality assurance committee. She is the recipient of numerous awards and scholarships and has been an invited speaker for the PA Breast Cancer Coalition, Good Day PA, and ABC27 News. Dr. Nguyen is actively involved in OBGYN residency education at UPMC Pinnacle and Christiana Hospital in Delaware. Dr. Nguyen joined Shady Grove Fertility in 2017 and now serves the greater central Pennsylvania region. Jennifer Hsu, M.D., earned a full undergraduate merit scholarship from University of Virginia, where she continued her graduate studies and earned a medical degree. As a University of Virginia Medical School student, Dr. Hsu extended her research efforts abroad in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala and was ultimately honored with the Medical Alumni Association (MAA) Outstanding Medical Student Award. Dr. Hsu traveled north from Virginia to complete her residency at Columbia University Medical Center, then on to Boston to complete her fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Hsu is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive endocrinology and infertility. She is also a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (SREI), American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), and the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society (PCRS). An accomplished researcher, Dr. Hsu has contributed to more than 15 presentations across the country on topics including intrauterine insemination (IUI), anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH), and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). She has also served as a peer-reviewer for several publications including the Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics. Dr. Hsu is very active in the medical community, with experience as a lecturer and oral examiner at Harvard Medical School. She has also given back to a rural community by providing free medical, and women’s health services at outreach events in Appalachia. Dr. Hsu has proudly returned to Virginia, where she’ll be joining SGF at the Woodbridge location. She speaks Spanish fluently, further broadening her fertility care to diverse communities. Joseph Doyle, M.D., received his medical degree from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, in Boston. Dr. Doyle then completed a 3-year fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Massachusetts General Hospital. During his training, Dr. Doyle received several teaching and clinical excellence awards. His research efforts focused on oocyte cryopreservation; he presented numerous times at national and international meetings and has multiple publications. He also has a specific interest in healthcare delivery, which he developed through seminars in conjunction with Harvard Business School. Dr. Doyle is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, for which he has developed education modules and served as an ad hoc reviewer, and the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Originally from Virginia, Dr. Doyle is married and enjoys competing in triathlons, as well as skiing and exploring the outdoors.
