Dr. Hassan Sajjad
Overview
Hassan Sajjad, MD, is a fellowship-trained physician leader specializing in pulmonary disease, critical care medicine, and internal medicine with Atlantic Medical Group (AMG). He serves as the western region associate chief medical officer and holds board certifications in internal medicine, pulmonary disease, and critical care medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has more than seven years of experience treating disorders of the lungs and respiratory system, including pneumonia, tuberculosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and emphysema. He is dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care to all patients and ensuring they are educated about their condition and treatment.After earning his medical degree from Aga Khan University, Karachi, Pakistan, Dr. Sajjad performed a residency in internal medicine at Indiana University Hospital, Indianapolis, IN. He then completed a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, Iowa City, IA, where he also served as chief fellow. Prior to joining AMG, he served as the medical director of the intensive care unit at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, IA. He later then held the role of associate physician and intensive care unit medical director at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He is a Master of Science candidate in clinical service operations at Harvard Medical School, expected in 2025, where he also serves as an instructor in medicine.Dr. Sajjad is passionate about enhancing patient safety, quality of care, and value-based care initiatives. He has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, delivered numerous national presentations, and is a member of the professional organization the American Thoracic Society. He is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
