Lt Col Henderson brings over 30 years of distinguished service to the United States Air Force, with a career that spans roles as an enlisted pharmacy technician, cadet, fighter pilot, and orthopedic hand surgeon. After enlisting in 1989, he earned an appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy, graduating in 1996. Since 2012, he has served at the U.S. Air Force Academy, where he has held leadership roles as Chief of Hand Surgery, Chief of Orthopedic Surgery, and Chief of Surgery for the 10th Medical Group. He has also been a dedicated team physician for Academy athletes. Dr. Bierbrauer is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, American Society for Surgery of the Hand, Western Orthopedic Association, and Colorado State Medical Society.
