"Charles Carmine Conte, MD, is a surgical oncologist with over three decades of experience. He specializes in every type of cancer, including breast cancer, gastrointestinal cancers and melanoma. Joining Northwell in 2004, Dr. Conte sees patients at Northwell Health Physician Partners Surgical Oncology at Lake Success, part of Monter Cancer Center.""Cancer doesn't follow any rules-every case is unique and complex,"" says Dr. Conte. We have surgeons, medical oncologists and radiation oncologists, as well as access to many diagnostic tools and clinical trials, all at this one center."" He is also affiliated with many Northwell hospitals for his patients' convenience.Dr. Conte trained at institutions across the Northeast, attending medical school at Dartmouth and completing a residency at Hartford Hospital and a fellowship at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. He is an associate professor of surgery at Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell and teaches surgical oncology residents at Northwell.
