Overview
Gregory Franklin II, MD is a board-certified physiatrist and is fellowship trained in Interventional Spine & Musculoskeletal Medicine. Dr. Franklin earned his undergraduate degree in biological sciences at Clemson University and attended medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina. He went on to complete his residency training at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) Hospitals. He did his fellowship training at the Medical University of South Carolina where he also served as faculty clinical instructor.
His goal is to decrease pain and to restore functional ability so that his patients can get back to the life that they want to live. He uses a comprehensive approach to treat the whole patient and specializes in non-operative interventions to treat the spine and other musculoskeletal disorders.
Dr. Franklin has won numerous awards during his academic and professional career including most recently being named one of Atlanta Magazine's 2022 Top Doctors. He is a member of several prestigious organizations such as the Spine Intervention Society, North American Spine Society, and American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
