During medical school, she co-founded a non-profit which is still known as Ride for World Health, in which medical students ride across the U.S. and advocate for improvements in the quality and accessibility of national and global healthcare.Dr. Brown has been in Anchorage for more than 10 years and has fallen in love with Alaska. She sees an opportunity for outreach to underserved populations in Alaska that is similar to her experiences in other countries. Outside of work, more than any other activity she loves hiking with her family in their backyard, Chugach State Park. She also enjoys yoga, gardening (a must, since her husband is a horticulturist!), skiing, and spending time with her husband and two daughters Madeline (9) and Katherine (7).
