Overview
Dr. Harrigan received his bachelor's degree in biology from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. He earned his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville. Dr. Harrigan then completed his internship at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Stamford, Connecticut, and his residency in family practice at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Virginia. Prior to joining Piedmont Physicians, he practiced at Cobb Family Medicine in Austell. Dr. Harrigan is board-certified in family medicine and treats patients age 12 and up. His primary interests are preventive care, hypertension, diabetes, men's health and sports medicine. He believes a trusting and honest relationship between doctor and patient is the core of family medicine, and it is his goal to provide quality and comprehensive healthcare to all of his patients. He is a member of the Atlanta Medical Association, American Academy of Family Physicians, Georgia Academy of Family Physicians, National Medical Association and 100 Black Men of Atlanta. Dr. Harrigan is accepting new patients and welcomes most major insurance plans.
