She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Iowa State University and a Doctor of Medicine degree from Emory University School of Medicine. She is a recipient of the coveted Fulbright Scholarship. After her postgraduate residency training in Urology at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, TX, Dr. Gilchrist performed a Fellowship in Female Urology, Voiding Dysfunction and Urogynecology at the Medical University of South Carolina. She has a particular interest in female pelvic medicine including pelvic organ prolapse and pelvic floor dysfunction and is experienced in robotic sacrocolpopexy. Dr. Gilchrist has authored several peer-reviewed publications and presented at national scientific meetings.Dr. Gilchrist is fluent in French and has a working knowledge of Spanish. She is a member of the American Urological Association, American Medical Association, and the Society of Urodynamics, Female Pelvic Medicine and Urogenital Reconstruction. Dr. Gilchrist is a sub-specialist in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, a physician in Urology or Obstetrics and Gynecology who, by virtue of education and training, is prepared to provide consultation and comprehensive management of women with complex benign pelvic conditions, lower urinary tract disorders, and pelvic floor dysfunction.
