Dr. Joos moved from his practice of 12 years in Illinois to Utah to join Intermountain in early 2023 alongside his wife (a pastry chef) and two daughters. Following his fellowship, he served as an assistant professor of neurotology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and the Nebraska VA Hospital, where he was actively involved in patient care, research, and medical education.
