Dr. Ali Z. Jiwani

Ali Zul Jiwani, MD, MSc, is a board-certified interventional pulmonologist with the Rod Taylor Thoracic Care Center at Orlando Health Cancer Institute where he is the Director of Interventional Pulmonology and also leads the institute’s lung cancer screening program. As an interventional pulmonologist he specializes in minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy and other procedures to treat malignant and benign conditions of the airway, lungs and thorax plus pleural diseases. His extensive postdoctoral training includes an internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham; a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care and an additional fellowship in pulmonary research from the Boston University School of Medicine; as well as a fellowship in interventional pulmonology at the University of Pennsylvania and its affiliated hospital in Philadelphia. He also completed a research fellowship at the Boston University School of Medicine. About Dr. Jiwani Dr. Jiwani has multiple certifications from the American Board of Internal Medicine, including critical care medicine, pulmonary disease and internal medicine. He also is certified in interventional pulmonology by the American Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology. He has presented at multiple national medical conferences, and his work appears in peer-reviewed publications.
