Overview
Dr. Ambareen Jan is a specialty care physician board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. She completed a fellowship in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery at the University of Louisville. She joined Inova in 2023 and has been practicing since 2015. Prior to joining Inova, Dr. Jan worked as a gynecologic surgeon at Lahey Health and Medical Center in Burlington, MA, where she served as fellowship director in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, teaching the next generation of surgeons. Dr. Jan’s clinical areas of interest include adenomyosis, Asherman's syndrome, fibroids, endometriosis, pelvic pain, sexual dysfunction and uterine anomalies. She performs complex robotic and laparoscopic surgeries as well as hysteroscopic procedures. She also has a passion for bringing her expertise to vulnerable communities and refugee populations. Outside of work, she enjoys time with her family, long hikes and traveling.
