Overview
When I started medical school, I planned to be a neonatologist and pediatrician, but instead I fell in love with physical medicine and rehabilitation. My specialty is neck and back pain, with a focus on non-operative neck and spine care. My job is to help people get functional again, and I take a whole-body approach with patients - looking at where it hurts but also seeing how that affects their lives. I consider working with patients to be a collaboration. Together we talk about different options to feel better and work through the decision-making process. In my free time, I enjoy traveling with my family. We are very enthusiastic about animal rescue, supporting the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) and attending rescue dog fundraisers. And of course, we have three rescue dogs of our own. I am a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPMR) and the North American Spine Society (NASS).
