He has several scientific articles published in peer-reviewed journals and has written five chapters on ear surgery techniques, including the most recent, Surgery for Temporal Bone Malignancy, in a recently published textbook, Atlas of Otologic and Neurotologic Surgery (LaRouere, M, Babu SC, Bojrab DI, eds). Dr. Benscoter has also been a guest lecturer at residency programs throughout the Midwest.A classically-trained pianist, Dr. Benscoter earned his bachelor's degree in music performance and enjoys spending time outdoors backpacking, running and biking.
