Dr. Christian Donato

Dr. Christian Donato-Santana is a board-certified infectious diseases physician with Orlando Health Medical Group Infectious Diseases. His areas of specialty include: Infectious diseases Transplant patients COVID-19 and its effects on transplant patients Internal medicine Dr. Donato’s Training Dr. Donato received his medical degree from Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Puerto Rico Medical Science Campus in San Juan. His fellowship in internal medicine was performed at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, and his fellowship in infectious diseases was completed at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester. Dr. Donato performed his fellowship in transplant infectious diseases at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. About Dr. Donato-Santana Dr. Donato is a recipient of the Maxwell Finland Award for Excellence in Research Fellowship and the Edward Kass Award for Clinical Excellence in Fellowship. He has contributed to several publications and peer-reviewed journals and has presented at numerous regional and national meetings. Dr. Donato is a member of the American Society of Transplantation, the Infectious Disease Society of America and the American College of Physicians 2013. He has volunteered for several healthcare organizations in Puerto Rico. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.

His clinical expertise encompasses Progressive Multifocal Leukoencephalopathy, Strep Throat, Myelitis, and Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA).

Dr. Donato is board certified in American Board Of Internal Medicine-Infectious Dis. He is actively involved in clinical research, co-authoring 5 peer reviewed articles.
