Ekinadese Aburime MD, MPH is a therapeutic endoscopist with Piedmont Healthcare. He serves as Chair of Gastroenterology for Piedmont Healthcare. In addition, he serves as Director of Advanced Endoscopy at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital. A board-certified gastroenterologist, Dr. Aburime specializes in the treatment and management of pancreatobiliary disorders, Barrett's esophagus, gastrointestinal malignancies and large polyps with a special interest in gastrointestinal cancer prevention and cutting-age endoscopic technologies.Dr. Aburime graduated from Ross University Medical School, Dominica, West Indies. He completed his internal medicine residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center at Long Island College Hospital. He completed his gastrointestinal fellowship training at Metropolitan Hospital/Woodhall Medical Center in New York, New York. He completed additional training in advanced endoscopy at University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio (UTHSCSA).Dr. Aburime holds professional memberships with American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American Gastroenterology Association, American College of Gastroenterology and New York Society for Gastroenterology and Endoscopy.
