Overview
I knew from a young age that I wanted to pursue a career in medicine. I was drawn to medicine not only for my love of science, but also for the ability to interact with people in order make a difference in their lives. I chose primary care because it allows me to really build a strong, trusting connection with patients and their families. I love the concept of true continuity of care and preventative medicine to keep patients living their best lives. As someone who was born and raised in beautiful rural Pennsylvania, I knew I wanted to stay local to practice medicine. What I want my patients to know about me:A mentor of mine taught me early on to treat every single patient as if they were a member of my family - a practice that I have now implemented. This way of thinking allows me to deliver the best care possible and keeps me grounded on particularly busy or stressful days.What I do when I'm not seeing patients:I enjoy spending time with family and friends, and traveling the world with my husband. My best stress reliever is spending time outdoors, whether it be horseback riding or walking our rescued coonhound, Winston. I also enjoy cooking, guilty pleasure reality TV, baking and reading.
