
Overview
Eric D. Levens, M.D., FACOG, received his bachelor of science degree with highest distinction from Indiana University-Bloomington. He then pursued his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston and went on to complete his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Florida. He continued his training as a clinical fellow in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Levens is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and subspecialty board certified in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. He has been focused on infertility for the last decade of his career. In addition to an active clinical practice, Dr. Levens is committed to improving the success of fertility care through active research and national advocacy. He has authored more than 85 publications in the field of reproductive endocrinology and infertility, including for the prestigious Journal of the American Medical Association. Dr. Levens has served on Infertility National Advisory Boards and has been a part of the American Medical Association, where he has worked to develop policy to improve access to fertility care, including insurance coverage for fertility preservation. He is chair of the Quality Assurance Committee for the Society of Assisted Reproductive Technologies, the professional organization that oversees the delivery of in vitro fertilization care throughout the United States. He is also a member of the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, a selective national group recognizing fewer than a thousand physicians, and previously served on the practice committee, developing national patient care guidelines. Prior to joining Shady Grove Fertility, Dr. Levens was a lieutenant commander in the United States Public Health Service, and served as a staff clinician focused on complex fertility disorders in the Program in Reproductive and Adult Endocrinology at the National Institutes of Health and the Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

Micah J. Hill, D.O., is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) as well as Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI). Dr. Hill completed his residency in OB/GYN at Tripler Army Medical Center, Honolulu, Hawaii. He then completed his fellowship in REI at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Prior to joining SGF, Dr. Hill retired from the U.S. Army as a Colonel with his most recent position being the medical director for the Assisted Reproduction Technologies program and the OB/GYN Research Director at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. He has served as the Media Editor for Fertility and Sterility, President of the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (SREI), President Elect and Quality Assurance Committee Chair for the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART), and on the Practice Committee for the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). He has served of the Board of Directors of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), SART, SREI, PCRS, and ASRM. As an avid researcher, Dr. Hill has contributed to hundreds of publications and presentations exploring topics such in vitro fertilization (IVF) protocols and outcomes and frozen embryo transfers, among many others. Kate Devine, M.D., FACOG, received her bachelor’s degree in philosophy with a pre-medical concentration from Columbia University. She went on to obtain her medical degree with distinction in ovarian cancer research from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. After finishing her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the New York University School of Medicine, she completed a 3-year fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), during which time she was the recipient of the NIH Intramural Loan Repayment grant for her research. While pursuing her medical education, Dr. Devine worked extensively in the field of women’s health in the developing world. She worked for the International Organization for Women and Development in Niger on an obstetrical fistulae repair mission. She also worked in women’s reproductive health for Child Family Health International while in Quito, Ecuador. She has studied in India and Australia as well. Dr. Devine is board certified in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. She has expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of infertility, including ovulatory dysfunction and ovarian aging. She has also been active in fertility research, publishing on topics ranging from fibroids to egg freezing for fertility preservation. She will continue her research goals and advancing those of Shady Grove Fertility as Medical Director and Chief Research Officer of our network, US Fertility. An educator in the reproductive endocrinology field, Dr. Devine is Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at George Washington University. She has also been an invited lecturer at NIH educational programs and courses. Dr. Devine has received several honors for her work, including the Traveling Scholars Award from the Society for Male Reproduction and Urology of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the Outstanding Resident/Fellow Research Award from the New York Obstetrical Society.
