Nathan Sandbo, MD, is a UW Health pulmonologist and critical care doctor and an associate professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Department of Medicine in the Division of Allergy, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.Dr. Sandbo diagnoses and treats disorders of the lungs and respiratory system. He cares for patients with interstitial lung disease, a group of chronic disorders that make breathing difficult due to inflammation, scarring and stiffness of the lungs. One of those disorders is called pulmonary fibrosis.During initial visits, Dr. Sandbo reviews his patients’ medical history in depth. To ease anxiety, Dr. Sandbo provides detailed information about their condition and potential treatment options. After educating patients about their condition and treatment options, Dr. Jarjour partners with them to design a care plan that best meets their needs.Excited by recent advancements in the field, Dr. Jarjour conducts research focused on severe asthma, identifying specific abnormalities that cause symptoms and finding more targeted treatment options.
