I initially became attracted to medicine with a specific interest in cardiology because of my grandmother who suffered from congestive heart failure. I was able to learn about medicine through her experience, including the importance of not only her medications, but also her overall medical care and procedural interventions which, when all put together, was able to significantly improve her quality of life and further develop my interest. To me, a career in medicine was an opportunity to help patient's fight against cardiovascular disease, which is one of the most common causes of mortality and morbidity.What I want my patients to know about me:I am originally from central Pennsylvania (Harrisburg, Pa). It is a pleasure to be back in the area and have the opportunity to take care of patients in my hometown.What I do when I'm not seeing patients:I enjoy traveling, spending time with family, and running.
