Dr. Grant is an Associate Professor at the University of Michigan whose practice includes sports medicine and shoulder surgery with a focus on complex knee and cartilage/joint preservation surgery. In 2013, he was the Canadian Orthopaedic Association’s representative for the North American Travelling Fellowship (NATF).Dr. Grant’s national and international committee work involves the Canadian Orthopaedic Association (COA), the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM).Dr. Grant’s research interests focus on the management and outcomes associated with both cartilage and multi-ligamentous injury of the knee as well as the optimization of rehabilitation following orthopaedic sports medicine procedures.

Dr. Asheesh Bedi is a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery specializing in sports medicine, including arthroscopic and open surgery for athletic injuries of the shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee. He is the Executive Director and Chief of Sports Medicine at Michigan Medicine, and the head orthopaedic team physician for U-M Athletics. He is also a team physician for Chicago Bears, medical director for the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA), and a consultant for the National Hockey League Players’ Association (NHLPA).Dr. Bedi completed his undergraduate training at Northwestern University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School with AOA recognition and remained in Ann Arbor to pursue residency training in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Michigan. After completing his training, Dr. Bedi completed a two-year fellowship in sports medicine and shoulder surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery and Weill Cornell Medical College in New York.He has also pursued additional dedicated training in arthroscopic hip surgery for young athletes. Dr. Bedi has authored over 350 articles, chapters, and peer-reviewed publications on shoulder, elbow, knee, and hip injuries in athletes. He has won numerous prestigious awards in the field, including the ASES Neer Award, AOSSM Cabaud and Excellence in Research Awards, and is a member of the Herodicus Society.
