
Overview
Dr. Jose Gregorio Casar received his medical degree from the Universidad La Salle School of Medicine, Mexico City, Mexico, in 1978. He completed an internship at Emory School of Medicine in Atlanta in 1979, and returned to Mexico to complete additional studies at the Universidad La Salle, Physiology Department and the Instituto Nacional De Nutricion, Critical Care Medicine in 1980. Dr. Casar then completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Instituto Nacional de Nutricion in 1984. Following this, he came to Baylor College of Medicine in Houston to do a fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine which he completed in 1987. Dr. Casar is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, and Critical Care Medicine. He sees inpatients only on the Cardiothoracic, General Thoracic and Vascular services at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center.
