My practice covers a full spectrum of endocrine problems. My interests include type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, medical weight management, pituitary diseases, bone health and thyroid disorders. Taking care of patients with chronic disease and building long-term patient-doctor relationships is very rewarding. I believe that medical providers and patients form a team together, with the patient at the center. We work together to achieve the patient’s needs through shared decision making which is tailored to the individual. I enjoy listening, supporting and empowering my patients to be healthier and to have a better quality of life.

As Executive Director of the IDC, I also participate in training professionals in the US and internationally and publishing diabetes educational materials for patients and professionals. Translating new research findings into improvements in diabetes care is my major professional focus. We are finding that the best approach to improve care is by working as a team and to focus on the needs of each patient.
