I am honored to be part of the Park Nicollet Cardiology department, and it is a great privilege to help care for patients. I became passionate about prevention and lipidology through nearly 2 decades of working in general cardiology. As director of the Heart Disease Prevention and Lipid Clinic I look forward to providing excellent patient care with a focus on cardiac risk factor management with lifestyle changes and medications if indicated. Experiences with the American College of Cardiology lipid guideline and leadership committees, American College of Lifestyle Medicine, and becoming a certified Clinical Lipid Specialist with the National Lipid Association have provided a strong background for this role. I am thrilled to offer “HeartBeet” clinic visits that focus on lifestyle medicine to improve risk factors as well. I enjoy getting to know patients so that we can work together to optimize medical therapy, as well as incorporate lifestyle changes to improve outcomes. A family history of heart disease has made me passionate about working in cardiology. I enjoy spending time with my husband and three daughters with our 2 rescue dogs at the family cabin. We keep busy hiking, biking and traveling. My work in the past as a social work associate has inspired my commitment to underserved populations.
