I was born and raised in Altoona. I graduated from Southeast Polk High School and attended the University of Northern Iowa. While there, I participated in the varsity soccer program for four years and Camp Adventure in Hawaii and Japan for two years. After graduating, I spent a year volunteering with Americorps NCCC based out of Washington, D.C. I attended medical school at Des Moines University and completed my residency training at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Currently, I live in this community with my husband and three children. I love being outdoors and spending time with my family. My favorite interests are Jesus, fitness, cooking, gardening, reading and sports.
