Dr. Alfred Maksoud earned his medical degree at American University of Beirut Faculty of Medicine in Lebanon and completed his internal medicine residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. This was followed by his fellowship in pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston where he served as chief fellow. Board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine, Dr. Maksoud has been in private practice in southeast Houston since 1997. Dr. Maksoud’s practice philosophy is to offer the highest quality, comprehensive, state-of-the-art care to each patient. He performed the first ultrasound bronchoscopes and bronchial thermoplasties (as a treatment for asthma) in southeast Houston. He speaks French and Arabic. Dr. Maksoud has chaired the Southeast Houston Harris County Medical Society and has held various positions on hospital committees.
