Dr. Mark Liszewski is a board certified radiologist with subspecialty certification in pediatric radiology. He is an associate professor of radiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, vice chair of radiology at NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital and chief of the Division of Pediatric Radiology. As a pediatric radiologist, Dr. Liszewski works with pediatricians and pediatric specialists to provide family centered diagnostic imaging services attuned to the needs of children.Dr. Liszewski earned his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine where he was inducted to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed an Internal Medicine Internship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School which was followed by a Radiology Residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School where he was elected to serve as chief resident. He then completed a Pediatric Radiology Fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School where he served as chief fellow. Prior to joining faculty at Columbia, Dr. Liszewski was the vice chair of outpatient imaging, chief of the Division of Pediatric Radiology, and an associate program director for the Radiology Residency at Montefiore Medical Center. Dr. Liszewski is a nationally recognized leader in pediatric radiology and is a frequently invited speaker and panelist at national and international conferences. Dr. Liszewski has chaired and served on multiple hospital committees and academic committees of leading radiology organizations including the American Board of Radiology and American College of Radiology. He has served as an assistant editor for the American Journal of Roentgenology, Pediatric Imaging Section and has been recognized with awards including the Ralph Ger Award and the Golding Scholar Award. Dr. Liszewski’s research focuses on innovations in pediatric imaging with particular interest in pediatric thoracic, gastrointestinal and vascular disease. He has also worked to develop novel bedside fluoroscopy techniques for children.
