I completed medical school at Masaryk University in Czech Republic in 1992. I completed training in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine in Slovakia, in 1995. My deep interest in Intensive and Critical Care Medicine brought me to the US, where I completed residency in Internal Medicine and then a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. My professional interest includes general Critical Care and Pulmonary Medicine with emphasis on interventional and ICU ultrasound. I am a devoted teacher and mentor to medical students, residents and fellows. I enjoy sports, hiking, playing music and spending time with my family. Professional Associations: ACCP.
