Overview
Dr. ElTaraboulsi was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. He graduated valedictorian from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry. He earned his medical degree from East Carolina University and completed a combined internal medicine-pediatrics program at Georgetown University Hospital. He completed rheumatology fellowship training at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
During training, Dr. ElTaraboulsi participated in clinical research and has published in the areas of scleroderma and osteoarthritis. His work has been presented at several conferences including the DC Rheumatism Society, American College of Rheumatology and Osteoarthritis Research Society International. He co-authored a textbook chapter on pseudogout and gout. He is trained in musculoskeletal ultrasound and implements its use for diagnostic and interventional purposes.
