My current role as a surgical physician assistant in cardiothoracic surgery is very rewarding. I work very closely with the heart surgeons here at Duke to take care of our patients in the operating room, in the hospital, and in the clinics. I have enjoyed working in health care since my first position as an ER Assistant in my home town of Jamestown, New York while a senior in high school. My career has progressed through several roles including medical surgical nursing, ER trauma nurse, and nurse supervisor.

I am honored to care for our patients with brain and spinal cord tumors, as well as supporting their loved ones as we navigate this challenging diagnosis together. I strive to help patients find their balance between aggressive, cutting-edge brain cancer treatment and protecting their quality of life. It's important to me to care for the whole person with attention to fitness, nutrition, and mental health. I live in Chapel Hill with my husband and two children.
