Margit Nemeth, M.D., F.A.C.C., was born in Mendoza, Argentina, but grew up in Houston, Texas. She returned to Houston to obtain cardiology fellowship training at the Texas Heart Institute ' St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital, where she was honored as 'CCU Fellow of the Year' in 2003. Dr. Nemeth has additional training in all aspects of cardiac imaging, including echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, cardiac MRI, and cardiac CT. She has done extensive research in medicine with many peer-reviewed publications on topics as varied as cancer biology, cytogenetics, cardiac MRI, and general disease states as they apply to the heart, as well as optimization of function of biventricular pacemakers. She currently serves as the Medical Director of Noninvasive Cardiology at the St. Luke's Community Medical Center-The Woodlands. Dr. Nemeth's clinical interests focus on all noninvasive aspects of cardiology with particular emphasis on disease prevention, valvular heart disease, and congestive heart failure. She strives to provide her patients with understanding and education regarding their particular disease states.
