Dr. Jamal “Jamie” Hasoon earned an undergraduate degree in medical humanities at Baylor University in Waco and his medical degree at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He completed his residency in anesthesiology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He then completed a fellowship in interventional pain management in Boston at Harvard Medical School-Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where he was named Outstanding Pain Fellow of the Year. Dr. Hasoon, who has been in practice since 2015, is board certified in both anesthesiology and pain management. His special clinical interests are minimally invasive therapies for spinal stenosis, compression fractures, peripheral nerve stimulation and spinal cord stimulation. His practice philosophy centers on a personalized and multidisciplinary approach to pain management that reduces his patients’ level of pain while improving their quality of life. He is director of the pain fellowship program at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston.
