Dr. Tapan Buch

Dr. Tapan Buch is a clinical cardiologist with an expertise in preventive cardiology, lipidology, obesity medicine, imaging, and women's heart disease. He sees adult patients with full scope cardiovascular ailments and has a specific interest in controlling risk factors for heart disease before heart ailments can occur.He is a founding member of the Lifestyle Heart Institute at South Shore University Hospital, a cardiologist for the Multi-D Liver Clinic (MASLD) with the Transplant institute at Northwell, and a cardiology consultant for Eastern Region Abdominal Transplant Evaluations. He is board certified in cardiovascular imaging modalities including cardiac CT, vascular interpretation, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. He is an active member of the Katz Women's Institute at Northwell Health. He is also board certified in Obesity Medicine.After earning an undergraduate degree at Stony Brook University, Dr. Buch received a Master's Degree from Touro College of Medicine and subsequently his medical degree from St. George's University. He completed his training in cardiovascular diseases and primary care/internal medicine at The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education in Scranton, PA, where he served as both chief resident and chief fellow, winning numerous awards.Dr. Buch is dedicated to advancing patient-centered care for Northwell Health.

His clinical expertise encompasses Cardiac Tamponade, Atrial Fibrillation, Cardiomyopathy, Pacemaker Implantation, and Cardiac Ablation.
