In addition, Dr. Khan has performed numerous imaging-guided head and neck biopsies with expertise in deep trans-facial biopsies. Dr. Majid has contributed to numerous publications and book chapters and has given regional, national and international talks, as well as presented research at many national meetings. He is a member of the American Society of Neuroradiology, American College of Radiology, American Society of Spine Radiology, North American Spine Society, Radiologic Society of North America, European Society of Radiology. Dr. Doherty earned his undergraduate degree from The College of William and Mary. It was during his time there as a chemistry major, that he learned of his passion for problem solving and experimenting. That passion led to his pursuit of a medical degree, which he earned from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine.As an Interventional Radiologist (IR), he performs minimally invasive surgeries and diagnoses conditions through medical imaging. “It keeps us on our toes,” he said about the daily work of IRs. “We can treat varicose veins, uterine fibroids, aid in cancer diagnosis and perform cancer treatments all in the same day.”In his free time, Dr. Doherty enjoys traveling and perfecting his grilling and smoking techniques on his Big Green Egg.
